Our Story

Our company began with one question in mind: how can we show people how easy it is to make great cocktails at home? We originally started with in-person, private mixology classes meant to teach small groups of friends how to make drinks with the right tools and ingredients. Unfortunately, a month into this great idea, the world fell into a global pandemic and all social gatherings shut down. In true entrepreneurial fashion, Caitlin, facing a furlough from her full-time bartending job, had to pivot. She began making and selling her own line of cocktail syrups with fun and exciting flavors. The syrups were met with huge retail success and made it easy to transition the original mixology class idea into the new virtual world. Bitters and Bubbles has facilitated over 1,000 private virtual mixology events since 2020, and continues to expand retail offerings nationwide.

Our Syrups

The most important part of a good cocktail syrup is quality ingredients. Our syrups are made with farm-fresh fruits and veggies. (We mean it, straight from the farm, in boxes, to production.) We use the ripest strawberries and blueberries along with the freshest peppers and citrus to make our cocktail syrups. We also keep them fresh with natural preservatives, making us a clean-label product. Our syrups are bright, delicious, and mix perfectly into your home bartending creations.

Our Leader

Caitlin Hood has spent the last 15 years in the cocktail scene in Austin, Texas. She draws from her time in the industry to develop flavors that are new and exciting, but also tried and true. One of Caitlin's favorite parts of the cocktail-making experience is seeing a smile on someone's face after their first sip of her drink. Over the last few years there have been some subtle changes to that sip and smile. More often than not, it's on a computer screen or under cover of a mask, but the sentiment is still the same; Caitlin makes good drinks.
